Unbeaten St. Cloud Cathedral held off visiting Little Falls 3-1 in a Granite Ridge Conference showdown, Thursday.

The Crusaders kept the Flyers off the board until late in the match, when Little Falls sophomore Thomas Bell cut the gap to 2-1 with 8:50 remaining, burying a shot from 25 yards out into the upper right corner of the net off of a breakaway.

However, Cathedral wouldn’t allow an equalizer, tacking on an insurance goal to preserve the win.

Senior Gabe Ploof turned in a strong effort in net, saving 19 shots against the aggressive Cathedral offense.
