Football: Skwira’s four rushing touchdowns power Holdingford past HLWW

Senior Jon Skwira rushed for a touchdown in each quarter to lift the Holdingford football team to a 27-6 win at Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted (HLWW), Friday.

Skwira finished the night with 88 yards rushing on 21 carries.

Junior Mitch Messman completed 7-of-16 passes for 119 yards through the air, with junior Cody Bialka catching two passes for 27 yards, junior Jeremy Springer making a 39-yard reception and junior Jordan Gombos hauling in a 24-yard pass.

The Huskers remained tied with Maple Lake atop the Central Minnesota Conference (CMC) with the win, improving to 4-0 in the CMC.
