Girls Swimming and Diving: Kempenich, Gold and Klever lead Little Falls past Cathedral

Senior Diana Kempenich, sophomore Mati Gold and freshman Makyla Klever each won three events as the Little Falls girls swimming and diving team dominated host St. Cloud Cathedral 97-76, Thursday.

Earning first-place finishes for the Flyers were the 200-yard medley relay team of Klever, senior Emily Stark, Kempenich and seventh-grader Abby Van Heel (2:09.85), Gold in the 200 freestyle (2:21.57), Klever in the 200 individual medley (2:37.33), freshman Gabby Lyter in the 1-meter dive (177.55), Kempenich in the 100 fly (1:13.26), the 200 freestyle relay team of Kempenich, Stark, Gold and Klever (1:53.46), freshman Kirsten Holtz in the 100 breaststroke (1:22.37) and the 400 freestyle relay team of eighth-grader Christy Masog, freshman Kristin Bobick, eighth-grader Annie Corbett and Gold (4:26.82).
