Heartland Symphony to present fall concerts in October

Heartland Symphony Orchestra’s (HSO) fall concerts, entitled “Ebullience and Light,” will be presented Saturday, Oct. 13, at 7:30 p.m. at Charles Martin Auditorium in Little Falls and Sunday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at Tornstrom Auditorium in Brainerd.

All are invited to join the HSO for a concert experience full of serenity and illumination. Experience the sun’s rise and set in Nielsen’s Helios Overture and marvel at the pure virtuosity of guest artist Scott Lykin’s performance of the Haydn C Major Cello Concerto. To round out the program, the HSO presents Hovahness’ “City of Light” Symphony. Rarely heard, it sonically describes Hovahness’ favorite city, New York.

Heartland Symphony concert tickets are available at Bookin’ It and Great River Arts Center in Little Falls and at Brainerd Daily Dispatch and Bridge of Harmony in Brainerd. Tickets are always available at the door for all HSO concerts as well.
