Girls Tennis: Little Falls pounds Wadena-Deer Creek in regular season finale

Senior Jamie Jenks outlasted her opponent 6-4, 4-6, 11-9 at No. 1 singles to lead Little Falls to a 6-1 shellacking over visiting Wadena-Deer Creek in the final match of the regular season, Monday.

Eighth graders Angela Meschke and Arielle Emerson earned straight-set wins for the Flyers, with Meschke winning 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3 singles and Emerson rolling 6-1, 6-1 at No. 4 singles.

Little Falls also swept doubles play, with sophomores Mikayla Gottwalt and Katelynn Kanieski teaming up for a 6-2, 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles, senior Alyssa Athman and sophomore Lindsey Schneider winning 6-1, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles and seniors Amanda Evans and Tori Magee cruising 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 doubles.
