Cross Country: Little Falls girls place third, boys earn fourth at Perham

The Little Falls girls took third behind top-eight finishes from seniors Mattia Hendrickson (15:41.3) and Chelsea Rutz (15:58.2), with the Flyers boys earning fourth behind a 13th-place performance by junior Mathew Massmann (17:17.0) at Thursday’s Perham Invite.

Heidi Moe was next across the line for the Little Falls girls in 16:32.2, followed by Laura Moe (16:49.4), freshman Amelia Kresha (17:01.8), eighth-grader Kendal Hendrickson (17:04.1), freshman Linzee Gerads (17:09.2), seventh-grader Anna McNamara (17:10.2), eighth-grader Ashley Hastings (17:31.7), freshman Claire Gammon-Deering (18:04.9), seventh-grader Catherine Zack (18:06.4), seventh-grader Sophia Sowada (18:08.6) and juniors Vanessa Meschke (18:42.7) and Lauren Zimny (18:43.5).

Junior Cameron Smith was the next finisher for the Flyers boys in 17:47.5, trailed by junior Sebastian Sowada (17:53.0), eighth-grader Tyler Moore (18:17.0), senior Brian McNamara (18:17.8), junior Dan Mushel (18:17.85), senior John Brezinka (18:17.9), freshman Jacob Massmann (19:03.6), senior Tyler Claseman (19:14.6), freshman Dan Palmer (19:23.2), sophomores Levi Hintz (19:35.7), Josh Kapsner (19:36.6) and Evan Athman (19:40.6) and juniors John Gottwalt (19:46.6) and Jacob Freitag (19:47.2).
