Girls Tennis: Pierz opens sub-section tourney with 6-1 win over Mora

The Pierz girls tennis team opened the Sub-Section 7A South tournament with a resounding 6-1 triumph over visiting Mora, Thursday.

The Pioneers swept the doubles competition with straight-set wins from the No. 1 duo of seniors Abby Bujalski and Sara Schlegel (6-4, 6-1), the No. 2 pairing of senior Becca Froelich and sophomore Shelbie Boser (6-1, 6-1) and the No. 3 team of senior Morgan Waytashek and junior Stephanie Brill (6-0, 6-2).

Adding wins in singles play were senior Tarynn Kasper at No. 1 singles (6-3, 6-1), junior Kiah Marschel at No. 2 singles (6-3, 6-3) and sophomore Kelsey Moulzolf at No. 3 singles (6-1, 6-4).
