Brenda Hart, 83

Brenda Hart, a resident of Little Falls, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.

A funeral service was held Saturday at The Church of Latter Day Saints in Brainerd, with Bishop Jeff Howard officiating. Burial was held in the Motley Public Cemetery in Motley.

Brenda Hart was born Dec. 18, 1928, in the County of South Hampton in England to the late Alfred and Winifred (Oliver) Edwards. She was united in marriage to Harry Hart May 2, 1953, in Jackson County, Mo. The couple lived in Missouri for a short time before moving to Minnesota. While living in Minnesota they resided in the Metro area for a short time and in Brainerd until moving to Little Falls in 1994. Harry died Jan. 22, 2001. Brenda continued living in Little Falls. Brenda enjoyed the Red Hats, crocheting, knitting and making cabbage patch dolls. Most importantly she was active with humanitarian projects for the underprivileged.  Brenda and Harry were active temple workers serving in St. Paul, Brainerd, Duluth and Chicago, Ill.

Grateful for having shared her memory are her children, Geraldine Winifred Houck of Shakopee, Gordon Alfred Hart (Pauline) and Lori Ann Hart of Aitkin; grandchildren, Christie Houck, Adam Anderson, Kelly Nelson, Joseph Dobson, Nikkole Dobson, Zack Dobson, Brianna Dobson and Angela Peterson; great-grandchildren, Andrew Houck, Jaymi Nelson, Jordan Gorder, Isiah Gorder, Brandon Collins and Cloé Houck.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Winifred (Oliver) Edwards; husband, Harry Hart; daughter, Tracy Lee Nelson; granddaughter, Megan Dobson; siblings, Peggy Moorehouse, Joan Hanson and Gordon Edwards.
