Cross Country: Hoheisel, Becker pace Pierz at Albany

The Pierz boys and girls cross country teams each earned eighth place at Tuesday’s Albany meet.

Sophomore Kyle Becker paced the Pierz boys with a 15th-place performance in 18:27.4, followed by seniors Will Corbett (19:17.5) and Elias Schomer (20:57.9), freshman Matt Janson (20:59.5), sophomore Daniel Tautges (21:07.7) and senior Mitchell Czech (22:41.3).

Senior Megan Hoheisel earned 27th in 17:28.3, eighth-grader Emma Hoheisel took 29th in 17:29.1 and sophomore Arre Langer placed 30th in 17:30.9 to lead the Pioneers girls.

Sophomore Dane Hennen (18:17.0), eighth-grader Lillian Guck (19:19.0) and senior Beth Broschofsky (24:18.2) rounded out the lineup for Pierz.

Pierz hosts the Central Minnesota Conference meet, Tuesday.
