Delphine Plafcan, 88

Delphine Plafcan, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 12, at the Foley Funeral Home Chapel, Foley, with the Deacon Fred Reker officiating. Burial was in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls.

Delphine Plafcan was born March 24, 1924, in Langola Township, Benton County, to William L. and Anna H. (Kerowski) Christle. She married Alex Plafcan, May 13, 1948, in Rice. The couple lived and farmed near Holdingford before moving to the Foley area. Delphine worked hard and farmed all of her life up until the time she became ill. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She enjoyed watching wrestling and going out to eat with her family. She was known for her potato kluski, the best you have ever tasted. She will be missed by all.

She is survived by her sons and daughter, Ernest of Foley, Diane Maslonkowski of Foley, Arnie, of Foley, Larry of Foley and Steve of St. Cloud; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alex; grandchildren, Shawn Maslonkowski, Cody and Skyla Plafcan; and brothers, and sisters, Tony, Art, Herbert, Agnes and Lorraine.
