Obamacare forces loss of freedom
To the Editor:
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) was signed into law March 23, 2010. It will provide funding for health plans that pay for abortion on demand and will lead to the rationing of lifesaving medical treatments. That means the unborn and those who are elderly and not in good health as well as younger people with life threatening illnesses. If a person is not likely to live long even with the lifesaving medical treatment, they can be denied the treatment.
Sen. Amy Klobuchar, who is running for re-election, voted for Obamacare; voted against repealing Obamacare; voted against blocking the funding for Obamacare. She also voted against stopping Obamacare abortion mandates from being implemented. These mandates will demand that companies and organizations, even religious organizations, will be forced to implement Obamacare, even if it’s against their beliefs. This is a complete loss of freedom.
Kurt Bills, a member of the Minnesota House of Representatives, is Klobuchar’s opponent. He has committed to vote to repeal Obamacare. He believes we need the freedom to choose our health care plan. That is a truly pro-life stand.
