Girls Soccer: Riitters tallies goal as Little Falls wraps up season

Second-seeded St. Cloud Cathedral topped the visiting Little Falls girls soccer team 8-1 in the opening round of the Section 8A tournament, Thursday.

Freshman Ellie Riitters tallied the Flyers’ lone goal on a deep shot in the second half.

Sophomore Scottijo Meyer made nine saves in net before leaving due to injury.

Little Falls finished the season with a record of 3-11-2 and will return nine starters to next year’s team.

Seniors on this year’s roster included Stella Hecht, Chloe Houle, Kaitlyn Durham and Katie Stewart.
