Girls Tennis: Schultz, Geisenhof reach section quarterfinals as LPGE/USA concludes season

Seniors Abbey Schultz and Laura Geisenhof reached the Section 6A quarterfinals as the Long Prairie-Grey Eagle/Upsala-Swanville Area (LPGE/USA) girls tennis team concluded its season, Tuesday.

Schultz and Geisenhof advanced past the first round of doubles play with a 7-5, 6-1 win, then dropped a three-set battle with the top-seeded team from Minnewaska Area 6-7 (11), 7-5, 6-0.

LPGE/USA finished the season with a record of 8-11.

Seniors on this year’s team for the Thunder included Schultz, Geisenhof, Brooklyn Levin, Jenna Abraham, Lexi Larson, Natasha Lopez and Nikki Szech.
