Lorraine was very proud that after graduation she moved to Minneapolis to work at Minneapolis Abstract Corporation as a typist. In July of 1957 she began dating Leo “Jim” Kalis and they later married in 1958 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. To this marriage Lorraine and Jim raised seven children. Lorraine worked very hard at raising and caring for her children and her home. She did a wonderful job raising her children and was always willing to sacrifice anything for her children and family. Lorraine enjoyed fishing, cooking, word puzzles, and collecting bells. She was also an avid quilter and made quilts for her children, grandchildren and many other close family friends. Lorraine enjoyed reminiscing and visiting with family and friends, especially about her family tree. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love of her life and she loved them dearly. Lorraine was a long-time member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Little Falls.
