Virginia Kruzel, 80

Virginia (Jean) Kruzel, a resident of Long Prairie, died Oct. 14, 2012.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie for Virginia “Jean” A. Kruzel, age 80, of Long Prairie, who passed away on Sunday at Long Prairie Centra Care Health System after a long battle with Alzheimers. Rev. Richard Walz will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery at a later date. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday evening from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie and also one hour prior to services at the church on Friday morning. The rosary will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. and parish prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Stein Chapel in Long Prairie.

Virginia “Jean” was born July 4, 1932, in Bowlus,  to Bernard and Theresa (Masog) Dombovy. Jean married Joseph Kruzel, June 4, 1951, in Royalton at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph of Long Prairie; children, Shirley (Gordy) Reecy of Grey Eagle, Robert (Lynn) of Long Prairie, Sharon Kruzel of Long Prairie, Ronald (Debra) of Sobieski, Lawrence (Joan) of Long Prairie, Carl “Ray” (Corinne) of Florissant, Mo., Kevin of Little Falls, Lyle (Mary)  Kruzel of Browerville and Charlene Kruzel of Dunnegan, Mo.; siblings, Marge (Rudolph) Rothleutner of Little Falls and David (Linda) Burggraff of Little Falls; 24 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; and foster daughter, Brenda Guse and her son, Jamie.
