Zylka: Caring, vital leadership
To the Editor:
For the past 12 years, I have had the honor and privilege of working with Greg Zylka. First came the Little Falls School Board. Greg dedicated countless hours helping the district through very difficult times because he cares about children and knows that a strong school system is vital for their future and the future of our community.
Then there were two capital campaigns for St. Gabriel’s Hospital. Once again, Greg generously gave his time because he cares and knows that local access to quality health care is vital to our families, elderly and young people as well as to attracting new employers.
Can’t forget the United Way Board: Greg has served at least three terms and is currently the board chair. He cares about the individuals and agencies of the United Way and knows that these services are vital to providing compassionate support for those in need.
I could go on, but I think you see the pattern when I mention Greg: he cares, he knows our community, and he’s vital to our community’s leadership. In every example, Greg provides calm, thoughtful, respectful leadership sprinkled with humor. He would serve us well on the City Council. — Susan L. Prosapio, Little Falls
