Junior Hockey: Granite City clips Flying Aces late

The Minnesota Flying Aces junior hockey team rallied from a 3-1 deficit to tie visiting Granite City at 4-4 heading into the third period, Sunday.

But the Lumberjacks struck with just 33 seconds left in the third period to come away with a 5-4 win.

Payton Trammel, Dylan Nelson, Blair Seitz and Andre Pison scored goals for the Aces.

 

North Iowa 7, Flying Aces 3

Host North Iowa built an early 3-0 lead before cruising to a 7-3 victory over the Flying Aces, Saturday.

Nelson, Alex Yde and Ryan Barry tallied goals for Minnesota.

The Aces host the North Iowa Bulls, Saturday and play at Twin City Steel, Sunday.
