Volleyball: Osakis edges Upsala in five-set Prairie Conference championship match

Osakis outlasted host Upsala in five sets to win Monday’s Prairie Conference championship match.

After the Cardinals claimed the opening set, the Silverstreaks bounced back to win 17-25, 25-21, 27-25, 17-25, 15-10.

Seniors Aimee Pelzer (21), Makenna Peterson (19) and Tracy Herzog (13) each had double-digit kills and at least five blocks to power Upsala’s offense.

Sophomore Danica Cheney posted a team-high 27 set assists and Pelzer added 22 set assists and 13 digs.

Upsala opens the Section 5A tournament with a home match Friday against the winner between Eden Valley-Watkins and Swanville.
