Kyle Leste Oltz, 21, Sauk Rapids, was charged Oct. 22 in district court with one felony count of receiving stolen property.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office received a call Oct. 19, concerning a stolen vehicle. The caller told dispatch that his sister’s vehicle had been stolen earlier in the week. The caller said he was driving in Pierz when he saw a vehicle which appeared to be his sister’s.
The license plate number was provided to dispatch and the vehicle was confirmed stolen.
The stolen vehicle was seen turning into a residence west of Pierz.
A deputy responded to the address and met with an occupant who said the vehicle was brought to the home by Oltz.
When the deputy spoke with Oltz, he allegedly said he did not know whose vehicle it was.
Oltz was placed under arrest for possession of the stolen vehicle, valued at $1,000.
If convicted, Oltz faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
