Minnesota Power lineworkers en route to help in Maryland

Thirteen Minnesota Power lineworkers, six trucks, a mechanic and a supervisor from the Little Falls, Duluth and Eveleth areas left for Baltimore, Md. last night, to help restore power to thousands of Blatimore Gas and Energy customers.

Amy Rutledge, manager of corporate communications for Minnesota Power said , “Our crews are still driving, the tolls are slowing them a bit, but we expect one of the crews to arrive tonight and start working tomorrow morning.”

The crews are expected to be out east for about 14 days. “We are very proud of their commitment to our communities both near and far,” said Rutledge.
