Kim Johnson has recently been named the November Employee of the Month by the Little Falls Area Chamber of Commerce.
Johnson has been employed at Speer Chiropractic in Little Falls for two years, but has almost a decade of experience in the chiropractic business.
“I worked for Dr. Tom Heim for seven years before he passed away,” she said. “I received excellent training from him.”
Johnson, who lives in Swanville with her husband Kevin, and their two children Alex and Ethan, is the office manager with Speer. She does it all by answering the phones, working with insurance companies, checks in patients and does some therapy with muscle stimulators and ultra sound. She does the scheduling of patients, handles the accounts receivables and payables and is the first contact with all patients.
“As a business owner, you could not ask for a better person to work with,” said Dr. Brett Speer. “Kim has the qualities needed, such as kindness, patience and a great personality, to interact with people all day long that cannot be taught. She is someone who does not have to be told what to do, but instead just does it. When new things are implemented into the clinic, she catches on very quickly. She makes my job and life easier knowing I can trust her and that the job is done right.”
Johnson said that she likes the job so much because it’s different each day.
Coworker Tammy Hatten said,” I have worked with Kim for the past four years and she displays strong loyalty and dedication to her job. She is very knowledgeable with a wide range of insurance groups and plans. She always has a friendly, positive attitude with patients and employees. I am grateful to have such a nice coworker who I can also call my friend.”
“I love interacting with the patients and getting to know each one,” Johnson said. “With my previous experience with Dr. Heim and Family Chiropractic Center, I gained the knowledge necessary to enjoy the variety of encounters each day.”
Johnson and her family love to go camping and spend time outdoors. She said her young children are getting used to it and Alex, 3, actually gets excited when they are going to sleep in the camper.
The family also loves to go four-wheeling.
For being named the November Employee of the Month, Johnson received gift certificates from Broadway Stylists, Taco Johns and Pizza Ranch. She also had her photo taken at Silker Studio, received flowers from Coborn’s and a cookbook from St. Gabriel’s Hospital Hospice Program.
