Funeral services were held Thursday, Nov. 1, at First Lutheran Church in Little Falls, with the Rev. David Sperstad officiating. Burial was in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery north of Little Falls.
Angela Lorraine Anderson was born Jan. 4, 1928, in rural Halstad, to the late Ordean and Lillian (Foss) Anderson. The family moved to rural Grygla when Angela was 7. She attended country school through the eighth grade and then three different high schools as there was no high school in Grygla. She graduated from Bemidji High School with the class of 1946. Upon graduating, she was secretary to State Representative Leonard R. Dickinson, until her marriage to Charles Beaumont in 1949. She then joined her husband in Washington, D.C., where she was secretary in the office of Senator Edward J. Thye of Minnesota for five years. Angela and Charles moved back to Minnesota in 1954. During their fourteen years in Clearbrook, they were blessed with three children, Dale, Christine and Brian. They were members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, where Angela taught Sunday School and was active with various groups in the Church. In 1968, the family moved to Little Falls, where Angela was employed at District 482, until her retirement in 1993. Angela enjoyed painting watercolors and writing. She taught watercolor painting for Community Services for the Gifted and Talented Program. She has been a member of First Lutheran Church since coming to Little Falls and was a member of the First Lutheran Choir. She also served on various church committees and was an active member of Rebecca Circle and the prayer chain. Angie and her husband Charles delivered Meals on Wheels and were bursars and served on the monthly serving team. Angela was actively involved with Great River Arts since its inception. She was a member of the Hole in The Day Theater Group (in three plays), TOPS MN 307, Artists of Minnesota, The Encore Art Club of Brainerd, Great River Writers of Little Falls, and The Bluebird Recovery Program. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Angela is survived by children, Dale (Diane) of Brooklyn Park, Christine (Jeff) Hill of Big Lake and Brian (Kathleen) of Fridley; sister, Marian Power, of Fort Meyers, Fla.; grandchildren, Jeremiah (Teresa) Hill, Jenny Hill, Leslie (Jared) DeBoer and Matthew Beaumont; and three great-grandchildren, Tiziana, Lillian and Calvin. Angela was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles; parents, Ordean and Lillian Anderson; and grandparents.
