To the Editor:
Our nation is heading toward a financial/fiscal cliff. With $16 trillion in debt, this equals about $40,000 owed by every man, woman and child. Unemployment remains rampant. The “Affordable Care Act – Obamacare” with its 20,000 pages of new policies and regulation, affecting health care organizations and small business, will add 27 new taxes on working Americans all taking effect in 2012 -14. This bill has taken over one-sixth of the U.S. economy.
I will be voting for Chip Cravaack for U.S. Congress from the 8th District. He held union membership, knows union workers and the businesses they serve. He has worked tirelessly for all people of Minnesota. In light of new federal healthcare regulations, an important fact to me is that he opposes laws that infringe on a health care worker’s right to follow their conscience.
Cravaack is not beholden to any leadership in Washington, D.C. It’s time the United States gets its fiscal house in order. Vote for Chip to keep fighting for us, the people of Minnesota. — Gerri Klimek, Little Falls
