James Huber, 70

James Huber, a resident of Hillman,  formerly of Brooklyn Park,   passed away  Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012.

Funeral services were held  Monday, Nov. 5, 2012, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia. Burial was in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery near Hillman.

James Allen Huber was born Dec 26, 1941, in Minneapolis to George and Vivian Huber. Jim grew up in Mason City, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa. He was a card-carrying Hawkeye all his life. He moved to Brooklyn Park in 1962. He married the love of his life, Lucy, in 1978, uniting two families.  Jim was a successful businessman. He was founder, owner and CEO of Park Credit Company; he served as president of Brooklyn Park’s chamber of commerce. Jim was active within the community. He was a member of the Brooklyn Park Jaycees, an active Sullivan Lake Association member, Richardsons Lakes Lions Club member and president, and board member of the Morrison County Planning and Zoning Commission. Jim enjoyed traveling, downhill skiing, playing “crabbage,” hunting, working in the yard and garden and supervising others working in the yard and garden.

He is survived by his loving wife, Lucy; children, Glenn Litwiller (Kim), Michael Huber (Joanne), Kristin Abel (Kevin), Julie Maegi (Ben), Greg Litwiller and Melinda Griffin and grandchildren Joshua, David, Jared, Adara, Kalju, Rhiannon, Thomas, Rein, Ella and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia.
