Janice Simrau, 70

Janice K. Simrau, a resident of Little Falls, passed away Saturday Nov. 3, 2012, at Harmony House in Little Falls.

There will be a private family memorial service at a later date. Memorials are preferred to Morrison County Hospice or Harmony House of Little Falls.

Janice was born March 30, 1942 in Little Falls, the daughter of the late Edward and Kerma ‘Peterson’ Ball. She grew up in Little Falls and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1960. Janice was united in marriage to Melvin Branchaud in 1961 and later divorced. From this marriage, the couple had three children, Colleen, Dale and Wayne. Janice later married Robert Simrau in 1970 and the couple had two children, Kathy and Edie. They later divorced. Janice worked at the Little Falls American Legion Club and later at the Moose Lodge. She was last employed at IWCO in Little Falls as a machine operator until retiring. Janice enjoyed reading, crocheting and visiting.

Janice K. Simrau is survived by her sons, Dale Branchaud of Little Falls and Wayne (Patty) Branchaud of Little Falls; daughters, Colleen ‘Warren’ Tunnell of Sauk Rapids, Kathy ‘Joe’ Perry of Oakdale and Edie ‘Jason’ Seelen of Rice; sister, Judy ‘Smokey’ Knowlton of Yuma, Ariz.; sister-in-law, Taeko Ball of California; grandchildren, Jessica and Blake Tunnell, Justin and Sarah Branchaud and Meagan Perry.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Ball; stepfather, Paul ’Bud’ Deering and a grandson, Joseph Tunnell.
