Disheartened at being manipulated

To the Editor:

I am mad, disheartened, and feel we have been manipulated yet again.

As we watched gas prices go down before the election, the media dutifully reported to us that demand was down and prices would likely stay down until February. Can you believe it? Demand must have significantly increased the day after the elections. Prices went from $3.15 to $3.35.

Oh, and the stock market lost 300 points. So much for my savings. And, oh yeah, I was just informed tonight on the news that now our taxes will be raised.

Funny how they didn’t say that the day before the election. — Hollis Holman, Hillman
