Aimee Pelzer of Swanville has signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College (JC) and play for the Jimmies beginning in 2013.
Pelzer, a 5-foot, 9-inch guard, is an All-State selection, four-year All-Conference selection and three-year Conference MVP for Upsala High School. She was named the Morrison County Record’s Player of the Year her junior season.
“Aimee is going to be a great addition to the Jimmie family,” Jamestown College head women’s basketball coach Greg Ulland said. “We are so excited that she has decided to come to JC. She has all the tools we are looking for when we recruit a guard: she can shoot it, pass it, handle it and defend it. She caught our eye this past summer with a couple ‘wow’ passes she made and can flat out score. Aimee is an excellent student and coming here for nursing along with playing ball made it a perfect fit for her.”
“I chose Jamestown College because it felt like home from the minute I stepped on the campus,” Pelzer said. “The coaches were awesome and made me feel welcome. They have a good basketball program and a good nursing school and that is exactly what I was looking for in a college.”
Pelzer has also been active in volleyball with 1,000 kills and set assists. She is the daughter of Paul and Charee Pelzer.
