Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Graham United Methodist Church, Graham Township for Bernice E. Meehl, age 90, who passed away Tuesday at Riverside Assisted Living in Royalton. Rev. Suzanne Maki will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends and family may call one hour prior to the services Saturday at the church in Graham Township. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.
Bernice was born June 29, 1922, in Elko, to William and Margaret (Dircks) Fredrickson. She married Harland Meehl, Oct. 12, 1940, at Christiana Lutheran Church in Farmington. Bernice was a homemaker and also worked for Federal Cartridge for 20 years and for Cargill for 4 years. She was a member of Graham United Methodist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher, organist and a member of the Ladies group. Bernice was a 4H Leader for 20 years and a member of the choir at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Bernice enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, playing bingo, crocheting and making items out of feathers. She was a self-taught piano and accordion player.
Survivors include her sons, Harland “Bill” of Royalton and Harvey (Karen) of Royalton; sisters, Donna Mae Gerardy of Eagan and Elaine (Les) Moss of Eagan; nine grandchildren, 31 great- grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harland Aug. 15, 2006; daughter-in-law, Sylvia Meehl; brother, Gordon Fredrickson; and infant sister, Viola.
