Beth Hauer helps Gusties CC win MIAC, qualify for national meet

Little Falls graduate Beth Hauer, a senior on the Gustavus Adolphus women’s cross country team, recently helped lead the Gusties to the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship and a trip to the NCAA Division III national meet.

Gustavus defeated runner-up St. Olaf by only three points at the MIAC meet in St. Paul, Oct. 27, with Hauer earning All-MIAC honors individually for the third time by placing 12th in 23:01.9.

At the national meet in Terre Haute, Ind., Nov. 17, Hauer placed 56th individually in 22:25.5 as the Gusties’ top runner, leading Gustavus to 21st place as a team.
