After placing fourth in the conference and fifth at sections a year ago, the Pierz girls dance team looks to improve on both finishes this season with a deep group of returning contributors.

“We have a large team this year and a great group of girls,” Pierz head coach Nicole Wacker said. “We hope to do well in both of our dances and hopefully advance on to state.”

Returning starters include seniors Tarynn Kasper, Miranda Woitalla, Rebecca Gall, Kara Gotvald, Brook Brausen and Kristen Poepping, juniors Kyra Engen, Brittany Andrea, Kendra Przybilla and Breanna Block and sophomores Sarah Detschman, Rachel Groves, Macy Hennen, Taylor Reardon and Samantha Seelen.

New dancers expected to contribute are junior Mac-Kinzie Meyer, sophomore Dana Hennen, freshmen Heidi Flavin and Stephanita Zumberge and  eighth-grader Kaitlyn Kampa.

Graduating from last year’s team were Natalicia Zumberge, Beth Woitalla and Kendra Fuhrman.
