Glen B. Anderson, 85

Glen B. Anderson, a resident of Pine River, passed away Thursday, No. 22, 2012, surrounded by his family.

Services were held Monday, Nov. 26, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Frank Milo officiating. Burial was at Pequot Lakes City Cemetery.

He was born and raised in Deer Creek. Glen married Norma Wilson Sept. 15, 1951, in Deer Creek. He married his second wife, Carol Erickson, Nov. 2, 1985. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1944-1946.  Glen had a long and distinguished career in the creamery business. He worked at the Deer Creek creamery, Walters, Minn. creamery, Courtland Creamery, Twin Dairies and AMPI. In 1972 he founded Anderson Custom Processing Inc. in Sleepy Eye. Two years later he opened a plant in Little Falls and in 1986 he opened a plant in Belleville, Wis. Glen enjoyed the outdoors, which included pontooning on Lower Hay Lake, hunting and fishing. His love of farming led him to start A & J Buffalo Ranch in 1991. He also enjoyed traveling, especially with his family. Glen will be remembered for his hard work, kindness and generosity. He kept his concern for others and sense of humor until his death.

Glen is survived by his wife, Carol; children, Brenda Hudalla (Tom), Denice Anderson (Paul Furth), Brian Anderson (fiancé Michelle) and Dave Anderson (Dana); stepchildren: Scott Erickson and Cinda Vondergeest; along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; siblings: Ted Anderson, Bruce Anderson, Joann Beaman, and Rhoda Stinar.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Emma Anderson, first wife, Norma Anderson; granddaughter, Holly Zwach; and daughter, Janel Anderson.
