Boys Hockey: Bjorge tallies four points, Stumpf saves 37 as Little Falls topples International Falls

Senior Austin Bjorge had two goals and two assists to lead Little Falls past host International Falls 5-1 and complete a weekend sweep, Saturday.

Bjorge and senior Matt Stumpf set up Adamietz for the opening score of the game midway through the first period, then Bjorge netted a shorthanded goal just over a minute into the second to make it 2-0.

Bjorge added an assist on a goal by senior Ben Newman a minute and a half later before scoring his second goal, again shorthanded, later in the period.

International Falls capitalized on a power-play opportunity to score its lone goal in 38 shots with 45 seconds remaining in the period.

Miller pushed the lead back to four goals at 5-1 midway through the third period, where it remained the rest of the way.

Stumpf finished with 37 saves in net as he and the Flyers improved to 3-0.

Little Falls hosts Fergus Falls, Friday.
