The missing plane that was carrying former Little Falls resident Trista Meyer, her daughter Syann Lenz, 9, and her companion Matt Ahrens was found Sunday, Dec. 2, in a rugged area of Utah. There were no survivors.
The plane was flying from Bakersfield, Calif., to Gillette, Wyo., after a trip to visit Ahrens’ family over the Thanksgiving weekend. The plane stopped to refuel at the Filmore Airport in Utah Sunday and was reported missing the same day when it did not reach its destination.
The search for the missing plane ended Sunday morning at about 8 a.m. when a Utah Highway Patrol helicopter spotted the plane about 14 miles east of the Filmore Airport.
The crash is being investigated.
