Three Little Falls school locked down Wednesday during dangerous situation

At approximately 12:20 p.m. Wednesday, the Little Falls School District was contacted by the Little Falls Police Department of a potentially dangerous situation at a trailer home at the Suburban Mobile Home Park near the Little Falls Schools’ East Campus. A “lockdown” at the schools was advised until the situation was resolved.

The district immediately entered a lockdown status at the Little Falls Community High School, Middle School and Lindbergh Elementary School.

Continuous communication was maintained with law enforcement. Officers responded to a welfare concern and came into contact with a male individual who presented a firearm. He was identified as James Stanley, 33, Little Falls. Stanley turned himself into law enforcement and was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital in Little Falls for treatment.

The district was notified about 15 minutes later that the situation was secure. The lockdown was lifted and classes resumed as normal.
