Host Kimball Area took advantage of early Royalton foul trouble to break open a close game and cruise to an 82-66 win, Tuesday.

Royalton outscored Kimball Area in the second half, but couldn’t make a significant enough dent into the Cubs’ lead to get back into the game.

Senior Matt Silbernick drained 29 points and senior Luke Wentland contributed 16 to account for the bulk of Royalton’s offense.

Seniors Lucas Snyder (5), Stephen Strusz (4), Brad Woidyla (4), Justin Opatz (3) and Ethan Zimny (3) and sophomore Nick Popp (2) also scored.

Wentland and Snyder each grabbed six rebounds and Opatz had four assists and four steals.

Royalton hosts St. John’s Prep, Thursday.
