Junior Hockey: Flying Aces take three of four at Blaine Showcase

The Minnesota Flying Aces junior hockey team won three of four games at the Blaine Showcase, Nov. 30 – Dec. 3.

Minnesota opened with a 4-1 win over Quad City, with Allen Patten saving 27 shots to earn the victory in net.

The Flying Aces then barraged Michigan with 43 shots in their second contest, putting four in the net for a 4-2 win.

A three-goal second period keyed a 5-1 win over Battle Creek in the third game of the tournament, before the Aces fell 3-2 in overtime against Three Rivers in the finale.
