TV theft in Little Falls ends up in high speed chase, injuries and arrest
Charges are pending against three women and one man, after Walmart reported two women had stolen two televisions from the store Thursday, about 1:45 a.m.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office broadcast the vehicle description and a deputy spotted the suspect vehicle just before 2 a.m. west of Pierz on Highway 27. The deputy made the traffic stop and as he approached the vehicle, the suspects fled at a high rate of speed.
The high speed chase continued on several county roads east of Pierz until the suspect vehicle ran off the road and hit an embankment at the junction of County Road 41 and Highway 27, just east of Lastrup.
The driver, 24-year-old Cassandra Rae Beaulieu of Isle and passengers, Breanna J. Day, 25 and Marlow James Day, 31, both of Onamia and 26-year-old Christina Marie Boyd of Minneapolis were all injured and taken to hospitals by ambulance and/or helicopter.
The stolen televisions were located inside the vehicle.
The driver was later released from the hospital and is currently in custody at the Morrison County Jail pending formal charges relating to the pursuit.
Other charges relating to the theft are also pending against the occupants of the vehicle through the Little Falls Police Department.
