Boys Basketball: Little Falls 56, Becker 40
Senior Collin Eckman scored 16 points and distributed four assists to lead Little Falls to a 56-40 win over visiting Becker.
Senior Jake Scott and junior Sebastian Sowada each scored eight points and the trio of seniors Collin Gradin and Travis Spillum and sophomore Bryce Zawatzke each added six.
Boys Basketball: Royalton 54, Osakis 37
Royalton built a 24-15 halftime lead, then scored the first six points of the second half to cruise past visiting Osakis 54-37.
Senior Luke Wentland had 14 points and eight rebounds and senior Matt Silbernick recorded 12 points and five rebounds to lead the Royals.
Senior Justin Opatz added eight points and senior Stephen Strusz chipped in seven.
Boys Basketball: Upsala 102, Pine River-Backus 40
Eighth-ranked Upsala overwhelmed visiting Pine River-Backus 102-40, with eight players scoring at least eight points.
Junior Christian Pekarek was the top scorer for the Cardinals with 25 points, with senior Matt Abeler and junior Dylan Zimmerman each adding 12.
Boys Basketball: Swanville 64, Eagle Valley 54
Swanville topped visiting Eagle Valley 64-54 to improve to 2-1 in the Prairie Conference and 3-1 overall.
Boys Basketball: Melrose 60, Holdingford 46
Visiting Holdingford sent its game against fourth-ranked Melrose Area into the half tied at 28-28, but the Dutchmen pulled away in the second half for a 60-46 win.
Sophomore Matt Vasilj scored 10 points to lead the Huskers.
Girls Basketball: Detroit Lakes 50, Little Falls 24
Senior Jamie Jenks recorded eight points, eight rebounds and four steals in a 50-24 defeat for Little Falls at Detroit Lakes.
Sophomore Kendra Pohlman added six points and junior Gabby Nouis scored four.
Wrestling: Foley 39, Little Falls 31
Little Falls fell 39-31 at Class AA’s third-ranked Foley in a tight Granite Ridge Conference dual.
Senior Conor Swanson, junior Trysten Ross, sophomore Logan Kapphahn and eighth-grader Josh Beack earned falls for the Flyers.
Senior Connor Scherping won with a 14-2 major decision and senior Jordan Petrone picked up an 8-4 decision.
Wrestling: Eden Valley-Watkins 39, Royalton-Upsala 37
Eden Valley-Watkins edged visiting Royalton-Upsala 39-37 in a non-conference dual.
Senior Cory Wensmann, junior Tony Gadacz, freshman Brad Kroll and eighth-grader Ty Held won by fall for the Royals, with junior Mitch Lange earning a 16-4 major decision, eighth-grader Michael Petron winning 9-3 and freshman Kyle Lange receiving a forfeit.
