Gymnastics: LeBlanc takes all-around as Little Falls narrowly clipped by Bemidji

The Little Falls gymnastics team wrapped up the 2012 portion of its winter schedule with a narrow 127.6-127.15 defeat against visiting Bemidji, Friday.

Junior Rachelle LeBlanc cruised to first place in the all-around competition with a score of 36.625 to pace the Flyers, taking the top individual spot on balance beam (9.275), floor exercise (9.225), vault (9.2) and bars (8.925).

Senior Amanda Hanson earned fourth in the all-around with a composite score of 31.675, taking third on floor (8.4) and bars (7.875), and seventh on vault (8.35) and beam (7.05).

Other top scorers for the Flyers included freshman Sarah Stout in sixth on floor (8.0) and beam (7.35) and seventh on bars (6.65), junior Taylor Axel in eighth on vault (8.25), ninth on floor (7.625) and 10th on beam (6.4), senior Caitlean Plumski in eighth on bars (6.225) and 10th on floor (6.675), senior Desiree Haggerty in ninth on vault (8.1), senior Diana Kempenich in ninth on beam (6.65) and sophomore Hailey Claseman in 10th on vault (8.05).

Little Falls returns to action at Rockford Area, Jan. 3.
