Junior Hockey: Flying Aces drop pair

The Minnesota Flying Aces junior hockey team closed an early 5-1 deficit to 6-4 at the end of the second period, but couldn’t cut into the lead any further, falling 8-4 to visiting Twin City Steel, Dec. 14.

Blake Williams, Andre Pison, Patrick Kegley and Alec Brandup scored goals for the Aces.

North Iowa 8, Flying Aces 3

The Aces traded a pair of first-period goals, but host North Iowa broke away with four in the second period en route to an 8-3 victory, Dec. 15.

Jared Sprink, Alex Yde and Pison tallied goals for Minnesota.
