One count of receiving stolen property was dismissed against Kyle Lester Oltz, 21, Rockledge, Fla., in Morrison County Court, Dec. 12.
On Oct. 19, the Morrison County dispatcher received a call from a person who said he saw a vehicle that appeared to be his sister’s vehicle which had been stolen earlier in the week. The license plate was run and it was listed as stolen.
A deputy responded to the home where the vehicle was last seen and spoke with an occupant. She said the car was brought there by Oltz.
The deputy spoke to Oltz who said he did not know who the car belonged to. He was then placed under arrest for possession of a stolen vehicle, valued at $1,000.
Assistant Morrison County Attorney Todd Kosovich said the case was dismissed because his office had trouble getting evidence from a nearby jurisdiction. When that information is received, the county attorney’s office will refile the case if necessary.
