Upsala seeking Hall of Fame nominations

Upsala High School is seeking nominations for a school Hall of Fame (HOF). People are encouraged to nominate individuals who have excelled as an athlete, coach or as a contributing member of the school.

The nomination form can be found on the school’s Web site, www.upsala.k12.mn.us, under extra curricular. A paper form can be picked up at the high school office or by contacting Activities Director  Byron Westrich by e-mail at bwestrich@upsala.k12.mn.us or by phone at (320) 573-2176, ext. 116.

Player nominations are for athletes who excelled in athletics and have been out of school for at least 10 years.

Coach nominations are for coaches who made a positive impact with the Upsala athletic tradition and have been retired from coaching for at least two years.

At large nominations are for school or community members who made a significant contribution to the school.

Nominations must be submitted by Jan. 15, 2013. The first induction ceremony is planned for Feb. 16, 2013.
