Junior Hockey: Flying Aces shut out Twin City Steel, edge Alexandria by a goal

The Minnesota Flying Aces won the final two games of the 2012 portion of its schedule, shutting out Twin City Steel and edging Alexandria by a goal.
Flying Aces 4, Twin City 0
Payton Trammel scored the first and only goal the Flying Aces would end up needing midway through the first period against visiting Twin City as the Aces earned a 4-0 victory, Friday.
Blair Seitz scored to make it 2-0 midway through the second, followed by power-play goals from Dylan Nelson and Andre Pison to provide the final margin of victory.
Nelson and Jared Sprink each tallied two assists and Alec Brandup added one.
Allen Patten made 34 saves to earn the shutout in net.
Flying Aces 2, Alexandria 1
The Flying Aces withstood a 46-shot barrage from visiting Alexandria to earn a 2-1 win and complete the weekend sweep on the strength of 45 saves by Patten, Saturday.
After a scoreless first period, Blake Williams scored in the opening minute of the second to put Minnesota ahead 1-0.
Alexandria evened the score with 3:10 remaining in the period, but Andre Pison scored the decisive goal 1:30 into the third to give the Aces the victory.
