Charles “Chuck” Millner, 59 a resident of Pierz, passed away at his home Friday, Dec. 28, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, with Fr. Gerald Dalseth officiating. Interment was in the parish cemetery.
Charles “Chuck” Millner was born July 3, 1953, in Little Falls, the son of Reinhart and Armella (Fleckenstein) Millner. He was a graduate of Pierz Healy High School, Class of 1971. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and graduated in 1975 with a business degree. He was united in marriage to Deborah Gohl April 19, 1975, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Morrill. He took over the family farm in Pierz Township and farmed up to the time of his death. Chuck enjoyed biking, hiking, golfing, fishing, running, bowling, riding his Harley, playing cards and loved farming. Even though he farmed, it never held him back. He enjoyed taking time to participate in races and traveling with his family. He especially enjoyed his trips to Peru, Africa, Alaska, and Ireland.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Deb Millner of Pierz; children, Chad (Desta Meyer) Millner of Eden Prairie and Nicole Millner of San Clemente, Calif.; siblings, Bonnie (Don) Marshik of Pierz, Dennis (Jean) Millner of St. Peter, Sandy (Larry) Smith of Crookston, Joyce Wilczek of Iowa, David (Connie) Millner of Bainbridge, NY and Joel (Pat) Millner of Hershey, Pa.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale and brother-in-law Robbie Varsnick.
