Jane M. Kilian, 56

obit-KillianJane M. Kilian, a resident of Pierz, passed away Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN after losing her battle with cancer.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, Jan. 4, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz, with Father Kenneth Popp officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph’s Parish Cemetery in Pierz.

Jane was born Feb. 14, 1956, in St. Cloud, to Patricia and the late Robert Kilian. She grew up and attended school in St. Augusta. After graduating from Tech High School, she proudly served her country in the United States Army for two years. Jane continued her education, and received a Business Degree. She had a very successful career in sales, mostly in the insurance industry. Jane was united in marriage to Danny Herold, Dec.16, 2006, in Boca Grande, Fla. The couple made their home in Pierz, where she loved spending time and working on their farm. Jane also enjoyed traveling, golfing, fishing  and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved playing cards with family and friends especially when she was winning. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Pierz. Jane will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her ability to socialize. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.

Jane is survived by husband, Danny Herold of Pierz; sons, Benjamin (Holly) Kockler of Sartell and Mitchell (Elizabeth) Kockler of Sartell; daughter, Sarah Jane (David) Nicoll of Sartell; mother, Patricia Kilian of St. Augusta; brothers, Michael (Judy) Kilian of St. Cloud, Thomas (Risé) Kilian of Oceanside, Calif., and Mitchell (Jessica) Kilian of Waconia; sisters, Mary (Tater) Spinks of Port Charlotte, Fla., Joan (Joe) Ayers of Breezy Point, Virginia (Patrick) Hall of Port Charlotte, Fla., Jacqueline (Bryan) Williams of Big Lake, Kimberly Kilian of Jacksonville, Fla., Sara Kilian of Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Jean (Loren) Petrich of Elk River and Melissa (Brent) Willenbring of Lino Lakes; grandchildren, Ava, Grace and Claire Nicoll, and Henry Kockler; five stepchildren and 12 stepgrandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by father, Robert L. Kilian; brother, Robert P. Kilian; and grandparents.
