Girls Basketball: Big rally runs out of time for Royalton against Browerville

Unlike against Ogilvie, Royalton had trouble hitting shots early, digging a 31-16 halftime hole it couldn’t quite dig out of in a 60-54 defeat to visiting Browerville, Friday.

The Tigers worked their lead all the way up to 26 midway through the second half, but Royalton cut the gap all the way down to four with three minutes to play.

Foul-trouble hampered the Royals down the stretch, with Browerville finishing the game with a 32-5 advantage at the free-throw line.

Meyer finished with 17 points, followed by Olson (12), Emily Fussy (10), Petron (8), Martinez (3), Hannah Fussy (2) and junior Jacquline Nichols (2).
