Nordic Skiing: Little Falls girls first, boys third at Alexandria

Junior Maria Hauer took the individual title in 21:48 and junior Kaitlin Geisenhof earned third in 23:26 to lead the Little Falls girls Nordic ski team to first place at Saturday’s Alexandria Invite.

The remaining five skiers for Little Falls all finished in the top 20, including freshmen Amelia Kresha (25:33) and Claire Gammon-Deering (25:43), eighth-grader Kendal Hendrickson (26:03), senior Josie Lange (26:11) and freshman Elizabeth Becker (26:21).

In the boys race, a pair of finishers in the top seven led the Flyers to third place.

Junior Mathew Massmann was the first finisher for Little Falls, taking fourth overall in 20:10, with junior John Gottwalt finishing seventh in 20:33.

Rounding out the lineup were freshman Gunner Kleinschmidt (21:59), senior Isaiah Korver (22:34), sophomores Ethan Crocker (23:27) and Michael Carll (23:31) and eighth-grader Seth Crocker (25:25).
