Lorraine Revering, 90

obit-ReveringLorraineLorraine Revering, a resident of Little Falls, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013, at St. Otto’s Care Center in Little Falls.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, with Father Nicholas Landsberger officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Lorraine M. Korkowski was born Feb. 25, 1922, in Millerville Township, Douglas County, to the late August and Frances (Bitzan) Korkowski. She attended Brandon High School, graduating in 1939. Lorraine was united in marriage to Andy Revering, Oct. 19, 1943, in Millerville. The couple lived in Detroit Lakes for a short time before moving to Little Falls. She raised the couple’s five children. Lorraine and Andy attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Little Falls, where Lorraine was an active member of the Christian Mothers and the Our Lady of Fatima Mission Circle. Lorraine and Andy enjoyed camping with their many friends with Lucky Lindy Camping Club. Lorraine was an active volunteer in numerous church and community organizations. Lorraine instilled the love of learning in her children and grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jean (Chuck) Jacobi of Brainerd, Bonnie Revering of St. Anthony, Judy (Ed) Ross of San Diego, Calif., Alan (Bette) Revering of Storrs, Conn. and Paul (Peggy) Revering of New Hope; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a brother, Don Korkowski of Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Frances (Bitzan) Korkowski; husband, Andy Revering, Oct. 14, 2002, and a brother, Clarence Korkowski.
