Frederick was an Army Air Force veteran. He served as a medic in World War II. Fred was a proud member of the Minneapolis Apollo Club for 45 years with whom he sang at President Eisenhower’s inauguration. He sang in the church choir and was a soloist at Emerson Congregational Church. Fred also volunteered his time singing at Care Centers in the Twin Cities and Florida.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, August and Elizabeth; and siblings, Roland, Elizabeth, Loretta, Carl, and George.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held Saturday, Jan. 19, at Emerson Congregational United Church in. Private interment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the donor’s choice.
