Pete and Joy’s goodies to be served at Klobuchar’s inauguration open house

U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar announced today she will feature coffee cake from Pete and Joy’s Bakery in Little Falls at the open house she is hosting in her Washington, D.C. office for Minnesotans traveling to see Monday’s inauguration of President Barack Obama.

Klobuchar previously served Pete and Joy’s treats to her guests at “Minnesota Morning,” her weekly Thursday morning coffee gatherings in her Washington office. The open house will feature foods from all over Minnesota and the Senator will greet Minnesotans and welcome them to Washington.

Klobuchar visited Pete and Joy’s Bakery and Thielen’s Meats in Little Falls in January 2011.

“Pete and Joy’s is one of the many small businesses we have across Minnesota that support our communities and lift up local economies,” Klobuchar said. “I’m looking forward to serving their poppy seed, apple and almond coffee cake from Little Falls for our guests to enjoy at this open house.”

Pete and Joy’s Bakery has served Little Falls’ residents and visitors homemade baked goods for more than 20 years.
